La Ola Spanish

Thursday’s - 10:00

La Ola Spanish classes give your little ones the opportunity to have a fantastic face-to-face learning experience. Each session is designed with children's interests in mind.

We use live music, participatory games, props, and books to grab children’s attention.  The sessions combine basic linguistic concepts with a range of sensorial experiences.  We want children to use their creative side while learning the language, always in an enjoyable way!

Our diverse and fun topics promote curiosity in your little learner and give them confidence when discovering the Spanish language.  These classes are delivered by Patricia, a native and qualified teacher from Spain, who encourages everyone to participate in a physical, social and cognitive way.

The structure of each lesson stays the same each week. Having a routine is important for both babies and toddlers; it gives them a sense of security and control. Children learn through repetition, so knowing what to expect helps them feel more confident to explore their language skills.

All abilities are welcome, from beginners through to native speakers. Whole term booking and regular weekly class attendance is recommended for maximum language learning results.

Come and learn Spanish with us. Te esperamos!

Baby Sensory

Tuesday’s & Friday’s - 09:30

BABIES HAVE AN EXTRAORDINARY CAPACITY TO ABSORB INFORMATION DURING THEIR PRECIOUS FIRST YEAR AND AT BABY SENSORY WE DON'T WASTE A SINGLE MOMENT!

Baby Sensory classes have been devised by Dr Lin Day to help with all aspects of your little ones' development. They are suitable for babies from birth all the way to after their first birthdays. Our carefully researched activities are designed to stimulate all of the senses including touch, hearing, smell and sight. We also include exercise activities, music and instruments, light shows, massage, bonding, baby signing and even baby mathematics, water play, messy play, puppet shows, bubbles and literally hundreds of props!

Often the simplest of activities provide a surprising amount of stimulation and learning - but every activity we do is backed by scientific research and is proven to aid your babies learning and development enormously. Each session’s activities are different from week to week. However the classes always last one hour and include 3 sections, 2 sensory activity sections and an exploratory play session in the middle.

Our multi-sensory activities will stimulate your baby in every way, crucial for your baby's development in these precious early stages. Even the activities that seem very simple have all been scientifically tested and proven to aid development - I will explain before each activity the reason why we are doing it and which part of learning it aids and progresses.

The Award Winning Baby Development classes are held weekly in Crystal Palace.

These locations are easily accessible for parents living in the local communities including; Crystal Palace, Tooting, Streatham, Mitcham, Croydon, Norbury, Norwood and Thornton Heath.

If you are looking for an exciting activity which will be fun for you and will help with your baby’s sensory development. Email or call your Class Leader, Bindi, who will arrange for you and your baby to visit one of our classes.

Sing & Sign

Mondays & Wednesdays - 10:00

Sing and Sign Babes classes are for 2 to 5 month olds with their parent / carer.  This gentle class explores themes such as eye contact, gesture and anticipation together with lots of cuddles, tickles and some simple signs.  All building the framework for good communication and brought to you using our magic ingredient - music!

Sing and Sign Stage 1 is ideal for babies from 6 months old up to around 14 months old and their parent / carer.  Themes include basic signs, nappies & bath time, emotions & bedtime.  You'll learn over 100 signs related to your routines and also the sort of things your baby may be interested in, such as animals and vehicles.
It is quite a big step from Stage 1 to Stage 2, so many people come to Stage 1 for two terms before attending Stage 2.

However, this is also dependent on your baby's age.

Sing and Sign Stage 2 is great when your little one is 14+ months, moving about and probably starting to talk (although every baby is different, so there's no hard and fast rule!) as it is more active and interactive.  Themes include weather, opposites, colours and the phonetic alphabet, together with simple counting songs, turn taking, sharing and of course, lots of fun!

Some people don't hear about Sing and Sign until their little ones are 14+ months old and then wonder if it too late to start. Not at all!  It may be more appropriate to come straight to a Stage 2 class, but if you e-mail me we can have a chat about your individual circumstances.

How Long Do Classes Run For? 5 week Babes classes run for about 30 to 45 minutes  - they are very relaxed. DO come if your baby is asleep - you will still be able to learn lots to take home and use with your baby.
