Free Frontline Worker Training

The aim of the frontline worker training is to deliver training on the topic of energy efficiency to frontline workers with the purpose of empowering individuals who might not normally engage with clients about energy efficiency, to provide some basic advice, and also to know where to refer people for further advice and support.

The Energy Outreach Project frontline worker training covers:

• Information on how residents can save energy and money in their homes and how to stay warmer during the cold winter months

• Guidance on how to deliver the training to clients

Tailoring training - Focusing on the right information for the particular group/individual, building rapport

Informative data - Threshold for low-income families, temperature for homes, savings to be made through changes made at home

What help is available - Warm Home Discount, Priority Service Register, advice around energy efficiency, reducing costs

Expectations Reminder of the role you have, what to do when you are unsure, ensuring correct information is provided through up-to-date research

With the rising cost of living at the forefront of residents minds, it's crucial that we are well-equipped to support residents when they express concerns about being able to afford to run their homes. Our webinar with BESN did exactly this, providing our frontline colleagues with energy advice, insight, and resources that can be shared with residents who are feeling the pinch due to the cost of living crisis. The webinar was invaluable and we are so grateful to BESN for helping us to better support residents.’
