Each child is unique, and we adapt our sessions to ensure their learning needs are met as well as including bags of fun and adventure. Let's fly off in our rocket to space. Or let's go on safari finding elephants and lions.

CPPA Performers

Crystal Palace Performing Arts
Singing, dancing and drama classes for young people 6-18 years old

Term Time Classes: Autumn/Winter 2021
Our performing arts classes offer young people a safe space to express themselves, develop their passion, make friends and grow in confidence. There are 3 terms a year, approximately 12 weeks per term for 2.5 hours per week. Our terms focus on gaining confidence and technique while allowing students to build and cement their skills. Pupils will have opportunities to take part in a minimum of two public performances per year and in end of term showcases for friends and family.

CPPA Performers: Tuesdays 3:45pm – 6.30pm or Saturdays 10.30am - 1pm
Classes will cover the three disciplines of 1) singing, teaching students how to comfortably use their voice, focusing on support, breath control and confidence, 2) dance to develop skills across contemporary, ballet and jazz techniques and 3) acting exploring, improvisation, role play, character and script work. The course encourages and nurtures creativity,  building confidence, team work and performance skills.

Each term will have a different focus from musical theatre, scripted plays and improvisation to teach a wide range of genres.

Students will have the option to study for their LAMDA qualifications.

Courses are suitable for any student, who love to move, work in a group, develop their skills for fun or to be a professional performer.  All course leaders are fully trained performers of the West End, TV/Film and Dance and have full and up to date DBS checks.

The term runs from Tuesday 7th September - Saturday 11th December 2021. Half term runs from 17th October - 5th November 2021.

La Ola Spanish

La Ola Spanish

Each child is unique, and we adapt our sessions to ensure their learning needs are met as well as including bags of fun and adventure. Let's fly off in our rocket to space. Or let's go on safari finding elephants and lions.

Each week there is a new magical adventure for your child to enjoy. Our Spanish club will bring to your little ones the opportunity to have a fantastic face to face learning experience. We use live music, active games, stories, and plenty of resources to gain children’s attention so that they can also use their creative side while learning the language, always in the most enjoyable way.

The structure of each lesson stays the same. Having a routine is important for both babies and toddlers. It gives them a sense of security and control. Children learn through repetition, so knowing what to expect helps them feel more confident to explore their language skills.

Whole term booking and regular weekly class attendance recommended for maximum language learning results. Spaces are limited to allow social distancing.

All levels welcomed! Whole term booking and regular weekly class attendance recommended for maximum language learning results.

We offer Covid Secure classes and lots of fun!

What do parents say about our classes?

“We've been going to Patricia’s Spanish classes since my daughter was only a few months old, and we love them! They are a lot of fun and creative. In every lesson, she uses a wide range of resources to stimulate the children, such as stories, songs, maracas, puppets, bubbles... This is a great way to play and learn a language. We never get bored!. Muchas gracias!”

Sing & Sign

Sing & Sign

Sing and Sign Babes classes are for 2 to 5 month olds with their parent / carer.  This gentle class explores themes such as eye contact, gesture and anticipation together with lots of cuddles, tickles and some simple signs.  All building the framework for good communication and brought to you using our magic ingredient - music!

Sing and Sign Stage 1 is ideal for babies from 6 months old up to around 14 months old and their parent / carer.  Themes include basic signs, nappies & bath time, emotions & bedtime.  You'll learn over 100 signs related to your routines and also the sort of things your baby may be interested in, such as animals and vehicles.
It is quite a big step from Stage 1 to Stage 2, so many people come to Stage 1 for two terms before attending Stage 2.

However, this is also dependent on your baby's age.

Sing and Sign Stage 2 is great when your little one is 14+ months, moving about and probably starting to talk (although every baby is different, so there's no hard and fast rule!) as it is more active and interactive.  Themes include weather, opposites, colours and the phonetic alphabet, together with simple counting songs, turn taking, sharing and of course, lots of fun!

Some people don't hear about Sing and Sign until their little ones are 14+ months old and then wonder if it too late to start. Not at all!  It may be more appropriate to come straight to a Stage 2 class, but if you e-mail me we can have a chat about your individual circumstances.

How Long Do Classes Run For? 5 week Babes classes run for about 30 to 45 minutes  - they are very relaxed. DO come if your baby is asleep - you will still be able to learn lots to take home and use with your baby.
