Introducing The Messy Hub at Upper Norwood Library Hub—a vibrant, hands-on experience where your child can explore, create, and learn through the joy of messy play!

What to Expect:

Sensory Exploration: Each session offers a variety of tactile activities designed to stimulate your child’s senses, enhancing their understanding of different textures, colours, and materials.

Creative Expression: From finger painting to sand play, children are encouraged to express themselves freely, fostering creativity and imagination.

Social Interaction: Our group setting promotes social skills as children interact, share, and collaborate with peers in a fun and supportive environment.

Developmental Benefits: Messy play supports fine and gross motor skills, problem-solving, and cognitive development, laying the foundation for lifelong learning.

Hoops and Creations Easter Children's Camp - 7th-11th April 2025

Join us for our new Hoops and Creations children’s holiday camp here in Crystal Palace!

Hoops and Creations children’s camp offers an exciting blend of basketball and art. It gives children the chance to develop their creative and physical skills during the Easter holidays.

Each day, participants will engage in basketball drills, team games, and creative art activities led by creative arts facilitators and experienced England Basketball qualified coaches. Children will learn and develop their skills in painting, drawing, sculpture, and movement-based creativity, all while having fun and making new friends.

👦 Ages: 5 – 11 (We are unable to take children under 5)

Free spaces are available for families in receipt of benefits related free school meals.

Important Notes

Children will need to bring a nut-free packed lunch, a water bottle, and at least two snacks.

• An apron will be provided for art activities, but we recommend wearing clothes that can get messy.

• Parents/carers must ensure that children do not attend if they are showing any signs of illness.

• Regular handwashing will be required throughout the day.

Little Brushstrokes Easter Children's Camp - 14th-17th April 2025

Join us during the Easter holidays for our visual arts children’s camp Little Brushstrokes here in Crystal Palace!

Budding creatives have the opportunity to discover new visual arts skills, and learn about famous individuals and their work as they spend the holiday having fun, creating and exploring visual arts activities.

They will learn and develop their skills in painting, drawing and sculpture. All 5 sessions are facilitated by local artist Cherelle Morris and her team from Brushstrokes Art.

Important information:

Ages: 5 - 11 (We are unable to take children under 5)

Location: Upper Norwood Library Hub

Price: £35 day tickets (10% sibling discount available)

Running Times: 09:30-16:30 Monday 14th April 2025 - Thursday 17th April 2025

Free spaces are available for families in receipt of benefits related free school meals

Please note:

  • Children will need to bring a packed lunch*, water bottle and at least 2 snacks.

  • All children will be provided with an apron but we ask that you send them in clothing that you don't mind them getting messy.

  • Parents/carers will be responsible at all times for ensuring that children to do not attend on the day if they are showing any signs or symptoms or illness.

  • Hand washing will be regular and compulsory for all children and staff throughout the days.

* We ask that you bring a nut-free packed lunch/snack to ensure the safety of all young people who attend
